One of the world’s most prestigious running events, the BUPA Great Manchester Run returns to Manchester city centre on 16 May. Miles Platting, Ancoats, Collyhurst

A parade of decorated floats will wind its way through the city centre. Look out for St George’s Knights and a dragon, English Shire horses, Morris Dancers and traditional and modern characters representing diverse English culture.
